Tamil Nadu Tragedy: 16-Year-Old Boy Accused of Abusing 11-Year-Old Sister for Two Years
A 16-year-old boy in Tamil Nadu’s Vilupuram was sexually assaulting his 11-year-old sister for almost two years. When the girl became ill and was taken to a primary health center, the doctor discovered that she was four weeks pregnant. This is when the matter came to light.
The lawsuit states that the boy and girl slept on the ground floor hallway, while the parents, who are both daily wage earners, used to sleep on their terrace. It is reported that the girl was sexually assaulted by the guy, a Class IX dropout, for the previous two years, leading to her pregnancy at a village close to Gingee in the Villupuram district.
For additional care, the girl was referred to the government medical college hospital in Mundiyampakkam. The boy was booked by the all-female Gingee police under the 2012 Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (Pocso) Act. After the youngster was taken into custody by the police and presented to the juvenile justice board, he was placed in an observation home.
