On September 15, a 9-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in the Pardi area of Nagpur, Maharashtra. THE ACCUSED PERFORMED THE CRIME IN FRONT OF HER YOUNGER SISTER, FIVE YEARS OLD. In exchange for silence, he offered the victim’s sister RS 20.
According to a police officer who spoke to news agency PTI, the event happened on Sunday afternoon while the two girls were alone at home since their parents—who are both daily wagers—were away at work.
Three months ago, the family, originally from Gondia, returned to Nagpur. They have been residing here for the last couple years since then. When the victim’s parents got home from work, she told them about the incident, which is how it was discovered. The victim was transported for a medical evaluation after the parents hurried to the Pardi police station right away. Later on, it was verified that the minor was in fact raped.
The perpetrator, according to the sister of the five-year-old victim, was a man who spoke Marathi and had “tilak” on his forehead. Authorities assume that the person knows when the girls will be alone at home and when their parents will depart for work.
According to the complaint, the acc/sed broke into their home under the guise of inquiring as to whether their parents were home. After the victim raised the alarm to stop his first attempt to sexually assault her, he hurriedly left.
