The Xiaomi SU7 has been likened to a mix of McLaren, Tesla, and Porsche in its looks, yet it’s uniquely designed and stands out. With powerful dual motors, the Founder’s Edition can reach 986 horsepower and go from 0-100 kmph in 1.98 seconds. The Max variant is slightly slower but still impressive, going from 0-100 kmph in 2.78 seconds with a top speed of 265 kmph

Inside the SU7, there’s a big 16.1-inch screen and a 7.1-inch digital display, both powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8295 chip. It supports wireless Apple CarPlay, connects to iPads, and integrates smoothly with Xiaomi’s other smart devices through HyperOS.

In China, the electric vehicle market is facing a fierce price competition. The SU7 enters this battleground as sales slow down due to tighter consumer spending post-pandemic. Automakers are cutting prices and launching new affordable models to keep up, impacting the resale value of recently bought EVs. Some new EV brands have even gone bankrupt, leaving customers without support, like WM Motor, which filed for bankruptcy in October 2023.
The Xiaomi SU7 is currently only available in China while Xiaomi tests its popularity there. Orders for the SU7 surpassed 50,000 in just 27 minutes after online sales began. Xiaomi’s CEO mentioned their EV factory can produce a new SU7 every 76 seconds at maximum capacity.
